Pick and Choose

December 11, 2006

Article prompted by World Magazine’s Article: Pick and Choose (December 9th, 2006)

You would think California would do something this crazy. However New York City’s liberals have struck again. New York City’s department of health is expected to allow New Yorkers to legally change their gender on their birth certificate. If it passes, New Yorkers could have the paperwork to say they are… er… a girl, even if they physically are a guy. First the person wishing for the change must live actively as a member of the opposite sex for at least two years, and prove it. According to Mike Silverman, “The measure of a person’s gender isn’t surgery, but rather how that person lives and feels on a daily basis.” He also asks, “Should the birth certificate be a document that reflects what was then or what is now?” In San Francisco, people are allowed to live just like they act and dress. If a man dressed like a woman, he is legally allowed to go into the women’s restroom. There are those who oppose that action, but Silverman is “asking people to open heavy doors in their minds.”

Thus, if one pervert decides to look at some women, all he has to do is dress like a girl and hang out in the women’s restroom. Now the other eight hundred thousand men and women have to adjust to one man’s choice. Wouldn’t it be easier for that one pervert to adjust his mind and go to the bathroom with those of his same gender?

“Logic!” said the professor half to himself. “Why don’t they teach logic at these schools?”
